Diana Anselmo presented Pas Moi, a lecture-performance concluding a research project dedicated to the relationships between technology, power, and the construction of history. From a Deaf and signing perspective, the work retraces the emergence of the first devices for sound recording and reproduction, questioning their cultural and political implications while proposing an alternative understanding of deafness as identity, language, and community.
