The workshop Segni Propri challenged the myth of the able-bodied through an initial theoretical exploration led by deaf artist and performer Diana Anselmo, addressing questions of normality and deviance, stigmatisation, and social order. This was followed by a practical session led by dancer and choreographer Giuseppe Comuniello, which explored forms of co-presence capable of dismantling the false dichotomies between ability and disability. Both artists are members of Al.Di.Qua. Artists, the first European association of and for disabled artists.
