Within the context of the public program of the exhibition Temple of Love. Cœur by Gaëlle Choisne, Luca Scarlini presented an intervention dedicated to Venetian magical narratives, following a previous collaboration in the form of a performative walk along the Zattere. The talk explored the esoteric dimension of the city and the tradition of involtura, a magical practice based on effigies and dolls that was widespread from the Renaissance to the early twentieth century, also evoking the figure of Luisa Casati Stampa, a protagonist of a mysterious and visionary Venice.
