How can curating in the performing arts shape institutions without fixing them, create accessibility beyond mere protocol, and foster spaces of production that exist in between? Emerging from the convergence of research by fellows Edoardo Lazzari and Diana Anselmo at Scuola Piccola Zattere, this conversation opens a space for dialogue on curatorial strategies, tensions, and possibilities in live arts. Together, we will question how festival formats can be reimagined, how accessibility can be a core curatorial principle, how curating can act as an instituting force, and how the figure of the curator is shaped in the context of performance. The conversation will bring together curators, artists, and cultural practitioners to explore these issues in an open and informal setting.

With the participation of:
Diana Anselmo (performer, visual artist and accessibility manager)
Irene Calderoni (artistic director of Scuola Piccola Zattere)
Piersandra Di Matteo (theorist, curator, dramaturg)
Tomasz Kirenćzuk (artistic director of Santarcangelo Festival)
Anna Mülter (artistic director of Theaterformen)

Curated and coordinated by: Edoardo Lazzari (independent curator and researcher)

The conversation will be held in English.
Free admission until capacity is reached. More info: info@scuolapiccolazattere.com
