During his short residency, Gianmaria Borzillo developed E la bella stanza è vuota, a performative and choreographic research project investigating the desire for proximity and the impossibility of encounter. Inspired by Franz Kafka’s Letters to Milena and shaped by the influences of Cindy Lee’s album Diamond Jubilee, the project explores themes of memory, identity, and absence, creating a space in which bodies, music, and images seek new possibilities for relation and coexistence.
